Island Take Out: Discover Flavorful Soul Food and Burgers in Bar Harbor

The BEST pulled pork sandwich around holy crap. My husband enjoyed his cheesesteak as well and we also got mozzarella sticks which were awesome and came with some kind of house sauce similar to a spicy aioli or thousand island. We wanted to get lunch without the hassle of somewhere more formal because we were stopping on our down to Massachusetts and this did not disappoint. You have to pull up passed the gas station so it came be a fairly sharp turn getting in. There’s some outdoor seating and a bathroom inside if needed. The cooks were all friendly as well.

Good portions. Great selections. Great jerk. Quick service. Just go!! Located directly behind the gas station in a separate building with 5x picnic tables under a nice, rigid shade structure. Although there were no dogs when we came it appears to be dog friendly outisde.

A delightfully nondescript restaurant that serves absolutely delicious food. It’s on the backside of a gas station, with a tent and some picnic tables outside. But my friends, if you push through, you will be rewarded with some of the most delicious food: the lobster roll is the best I’ve had. Warm and buttery, it practically melts in your mouth. Likewise, the Jerk Chicken is a spicy delight, and the Mac-n-cheese is also great. All in all, a delightful gem of a restaurant that shouldn’t be missed!

This is a must stop if you’re in Acadia, we’re still upset we were only able to eat there once. Absolutely delicious food, some of the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. Do not judge this book by its cover, it’s some of the best food we had our entire trip!

Best Lobster Rolls we had on our tour through the maritimes, eating lobster everywhere we went! And Mac and Cheese couldn’t have been more shockingly delicious! Location is almost hidden next to an intersection and the atmosphere is camping-casual but food is nothing less than amazing!

Ok so I've been raving about this place since I got back home from Maine. We were on a food adventure. And I still have dreams where im enjoying that delicious lobster mac and then I wake up. Excellent food. A must stop! Very friendly staff as well!

A small hidden gem behind a gas station with only outdoor seating, but the food was fantastic! We had the jerk chicken mac and cheese and a steamed lobster — both delicious. The whiskey cake was unbelievably good too. Only wish they provided lobster tools, since eating it neatly was a bit tricky

Hidden gem.....Lobster mac and cheese was full of fresh lobster and was decadent....so rich and delicious and it was a full meal portion size. Fried chicken sandwich was huge, tasty, tender and juicy. Nothing fancy.... incredible food at a good price. Def a great option on the island!
